Harlan Lee Pierce

ASHEBORO - Harlan Lee Pierce, 73, of 219 Sawyersville Road, Asheboro, died Sunday, May 27, 2001, at his home.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Mt. View Independent Methodist Church, with the Rev. David Hunt, the Rev. Lee Roy Hunt and the Rev. Ray Lambe officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park.

He was a native of Randolph County and attended Mt. View Independent Methodist Church.
Surviving are wife, Edith Hunt Pierce of Asheboro; daughters, Ronda Bunting of Asheboro, Robin Frisby of Trinity; sisters, Fleta Small, Ruth Hughes, both of Trinity; brother, Dempsey Pierce of Trinity; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.


Ruth Snider

THOMASVILLE | Ruth Snider Johnson, of Cannon Street, died Monday evening, Nov. 9, 2009, at Forsyth Medical Center.

A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Central Wesleyan Church by the Rev. David Albertson.

She was born in Davidson County, a daughter of the late Ernest Lindsay Snider and Josie Frances Hughes Snider. She was a member of Central Wesleyan Church and was a former Sunday School teacher.

Surviving are a brother, Wilbur Snider and his wife, Linda, of Lexington.

Burial will follow in Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery.

In honoring her wishes there will be no visitation.

In lieu of flowers, Mrs. Johnson requested memorials be sent to Central Wesleyan Church, 300 Hinkle St., Thomasville, NC 27360.
