Played in the British Open and won eight golf tournaments to include the Jacksonville Open, Michigan Open, Miami Open, Southern States Open, Illinois PGA Championship. Placed 12th in the 1913 US Open, Lost in the 4th round in the 1920 US PGA Championship. Finished 6th in the 1927 US Open. Member of the Walker Cup and is listed as having one of the Greatest Golf Shots in history of golf. 16 holes-in-one during his career.
