Under Investigation at this time (7-13-2003)
Located his wife's grave, but not his. Other source(s) (marsha Philbrick) states he died in 1890.
Mt. Gilead UMC is working on the verification and location of his grave.UPDATED: SEPTEMBER 13, 2005
We have found an entry where Oliver P. Briles died in the Civil War on Oct. 12 1864. Location of the website is http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~judytalk/B34.htm. This makes sense because would have been buried beside his wife if he passed in 1890. Also, the Philbrick listing has him dying in 1890 which is the actually year his wife, Eleanor, died. We believe this is an error. We will stick with the updated information.
